Cheap travel-With Cheap Airfare, Travel is Limited Only by Your Imagination

With Cheap Airfare, Travel is Limited Only by Your Imagination
In his book, “The World is Flat,” Thomas Friedman argues that the beginning of the twenty-first travelcentury can be characterized by one word: globalization. While the Digital Age may or may not become the great equalizer, it has certainly given us access to a worldview that was unavailable to our parents and grandparents. A natural extension of the immediacy we feel when we watch videos about, read the blogs of, and listen to people from other countries is the urge to experience their worlds. Indeed, in survey after survey, when people are asked what they would do if they had true financial freedom, the top response is, “Travel.”

JAMAICA

Jamaica is surely one of the Caribbean’s most iconic vacationdestinations. The scenery offers everything from fish-filled coral reefs and white-sand beaches to breathtaking waterfalls and cloud-shrouded rainforests. The music is infectious, and the Jamacianpeople represent one of the most diverse populations in the Caribbean, drawing from African, Chinese, Indian, British and German heritage. Jamaica is the Caribbean’s third largest island with six main tourist regions – Montego Bay, Negril, Mandeville and The South Coast, Kingston, Port Antonio and Ocho Rios.

China Travel-Peter Hessler on Country Driving, revisiting River Town, and moving on

Less than a decade after his first book, River Town, was published, Peter Hessler's name has become shorthand for honest, insightful commentary on the charms and contradictions of contemporary China. (If the word "Hessleresque" hasn't yet been defined, consider it now done.)
Having served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Sichuan, a clipper at the Wall Street Journal, and the China correspondent for the New Yorker (he drew on for his work for both publications in his second book, Oracle Bones), Hessler and his wife (Factory Girls author Leslie Chang) now live in Colorado, where he does as much running as he does writing.

ANGUILLA (caribbeantravel)

Travelers come to Anguilla for the natural beauty and quiet atmosphere, the 33 sparkling white sand beaches, art galleries, and other historical and cultural offerings.  For seaside vacation experiences, the beach options are seemingly endless: Rendezvous Bay, Cove Bay and Mead’s Bay beckon with long curved strands of sand. Smaller pocket beaches include Limestone Bay, known for its snorkeling, and Little Bay, reached only by boat. Captain’s Bay and Junk’s Hole Bay are more remote.  Shoal Bay East is undoubtedly the island’s most popular beach while Scrub Island, Prickly Pear and Dog Island are excellent snorkeling destinations.
